SmartBear fills two senior positions in talent acquisition and D&I comms

The software provider is hiring globally following growth in 2020

SmartBear, a software development and quality tools provider based in Boston, US, has made two senior hires in the talent acquisition and diversity and inclusion communications spaces.

Mike Costello is the new Vice President of Talent Acquisition, this appointment comes as the firm embarks on a global recruitment drive after a year of significant growth.

Costello’s previous role was at real estate investment company, American Tower, where he was Director, Talent Acquisition. Prior to that, he held various recruitment roles at the company and “hired and developed highly diverse and productive individuals while driving high levels of performance in all areas of responsibility.”

He also worked at construction contracting company, Suffolk Construction for over five years in various recruitment positions. He holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Boston University.

SmartBear has also made another significant D&I appointment with Amber Haskell who is the company’s new Diversity, Inclusion, and Communications Manager. She joins SmartBear from investment firm, MFS Investment Management where she spent seven years in various diversity leadership roles.

In terms of workplace diversity and inclusion, earlier this year SmartBear received a ‘Built In Boston’s Best Places to Work 2021 Award’ for the third year running.
