Ogilvy veteran Fiona Gordon is new UK CEO

Fiona Gordon is Ogilvy UK's new CEO and her role starts with immediate effect

Fiona Gordon, an Ogilvy veteran who has held various roles in the company for over twenty years, has been appointed as the UK’s new Chief Executive Officer.

After joining the firm as a graduate trainee in the 1990s, she held leadership roles in the US, Asia, and the UK. Prior to her new role, which starts with immediate effect, Gordon was Ogilvy’s “Chief Client Officer EMEA, where she focused on making EMEA and the UK a beacon for Ogilvy’s growth and creative vision.”

Other past roles she’s held at the company include time spent as the UK’s Group Transformation Director and Group Chairperson of Ogilvy Singapore, where she helped the team win several accolades, including SE Asia Agency of the Year and SE Asia Agency Head of the Year.

Before her EMEA role at Ogilvy, she was at its umbrella company global marketing and communications agency, WPP, as its UK Team Lead for Walgreens Boots Alliance, where the team “managed to secure Boots’ highest brand reputation scores for 10 years.”

She also sits on the advisory board of WPP Stella (WPP’s Women’s Network) and is a mentor herself but also has a reverse mentor “to ensure she keeps connected with people at all levels of the business.”

Gordon said: “Having started my career at Ogilvy UK as a graduate trainee, there is a wonderful circularity about taking the reins of the agency I love now as the CEO – particularly at a time when the UK business is producing award-winning impactful work for our clients across all areas from advertising to PR and experience.

“I’m so energised by the opportunity to lead and cherish Ogilvy UK and look forward to partnering with our fantastic clients and stellar talent to deliver work that has a true impact for all our clients and our people.”

Paul O’Donnell, Ogilvy CEO EMEA, added: “Fiona is a truly modern, inspirational leader who focuses on building high-performing teams and is a tremendous champion for creativity and talent.

“In her almost three decades working with Ogilvy, Fiona has held senior roles in multiple markets, including the USA, UK, and Asia, where she was Group Chairperson of Ogilvy Singapore. She is absolutely the right person to lead Ogilvy UK into the next phase of its evolution. Fiona leads with typical Scottish candour and drive, and I look forward to partnering with her in this new role. “
