Let’s Talk London event to feature corporate perspectives on the Diversity & Inclusion agenda

The free online event will showcase how major corporations are embracing D&I

Let’s Talk London: The Diversity & Inclusion Agenda is a free online event that, taking place on May 27th, will shed light on how top corporate institutions pursue diversity and inclusion.

Hosted by London & Partners, London’s business growth and destination agency, the event, which is supported by the Mayor of London and the European Regional Development Fund, will see “senior-level speakers discuss their companies and how they are embracing diversity and inclusion”, including how “it is impacting on their policies, the way they work, and the benefits they see, from the people they recruit to the companies and partners they work with.”

According to a spokesperson for the event, corporates and other speakers “have already made a commitment to drive equality, diversity, and inclusion within their company and would have demonstrated this through their policies, staff, products, corporate communications and have an interest in engaging with the startup and scaleup community.”

The speakers, that are expected to discuss D&I implementations in staffing, operating, supply chains, and collaborations with small businesses include Kelly Metcalf, Head of Diversity, Inclusion and Wellbeing North-Western Europe at IT giant, Fujitsu, Clare Stephens, EMEA Diversity and Inclusion Leader at computer hardware leader, IBM, John Clark, Commercial & Finance Director Europe at multinational construction company, Lendlease and DiversityQ’s Editor Cheryl Cole.

Tom Adeyoola, Co-Founder of Extend Ventures, a non-profit organisation that helps diverse entrepreneurs realise their business goals, will facilitate the conversation.

In a recent statement ahead of the event, London & Partners said it is “committed to reflect and champion the diversity of the city that we promote, to give diverse entrepreneurs equal opportunities and to help break down the challenges that they face when growing their businesses in London.”

Let’s Talk London: The Diversity & Inclusion Agenda will take place virtually on May 27th, 2021, from 14:00 – 16:00 BST. Ticket sales end on May 26th. Click here to register and join in the conversation.
