New “metrics-based” diversity hiring platform launches

The diversity hiring platform by Orion connects its database of diverse job seekers directly with job postings by inclusive employers

A new talent platform directly connects diverse candidates to job openings at inclusion-minded organisations, ensuring greater diversity in the hiring process.

Going beyond the traditional format of job boards and listings, created by US recruitment process outsourcing company Orion, TalentOrion’s new HirePurpose® Diversity Jobs Network is the “first metrics-based database of ready-to-hire diverse talent.”

Job openings are distributed to Orion’s database of diverse talent, guaranteeing employers access to diverse applicants, with candidate engagement measured and shared with employers. This ‘database of diversity’ includes racial and ethnic minorities, women, those with disabilities, military veterans, and LGBTQ+ talent.

The platform arranges talent by attributes, including skillsets, experience, and job relevance, and channels qualified applicants straight to a company’s talent pipeline. This leaves employers with real statistics on diverse applicants to share in their organisation.

Current organisations using the HirePurpose Diversity Jobs Network include Boeing, Siemens Mobility, US Foods, Visa, and many more.

The platform also offers employer brand evaluation, including practical advice on improving career sites and optimising the candidate experience, insights into their online footprint, and social media to attract diverse candidates.

The platform also helps employers strengthen their inclusive brand by sharing their diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I) story through an Inclusion Guide that features Inclusion Allies. This feature can spotlight employees who are diversity champions, helping job seekers engage with a company in a way that a traditional job board can’t allow.

Other platform innovations include outreach campaigns and job distribution targeting a database of 1.4 million job seekers each week and growing, interested candidates being driven directly to an employer’s careers site, and employer branding tools to help job seekers learn about company culture and fit.

There’s also Orion’s new #PeopleWithPurpose Podcast which allows employers to share their company’s DE&I journey with potential applicants and performance metrics to help employers track progress on DE&I goals, with trackable metrics including the number of job clicks, applicants, and hires.

Sarah Peiker, Orion Talent CEO, said: “Until now, recruiters have been very limited in their ability to access a known, curated pool of active, diverse job seekers, so they typically resort to posting positions on job boards and hope the right candidates come to them. This platform flips the entire process upside down by delivering diverse candidates directly to their openings. By providing a platform that allows recruiters to directly engage with this talent pool, along with the metrics to document performance, we’re confident this will be a game-changer for companies committed to diversity but struggling to connect with the right talent.”

Steve Amsden, Vice President of Diversity Initiatives and Military Outreach at Orion Talent, said: “The HirePurpose Diversity Jobs Network represents our commitment to creating opportunities for all people to find meaningful work in environments where differences are celebrated. Our goal is not only to help more companies exceed their DE&I business objectives but to authentically showcase their inclusive environments where all people are engaged and can proudly work to their full potential.”
