Emerald and Evenbreak partner to promote disability inclusion

Leading publisher and a speciality job board join forces to champion disability inclusion and diversity in the workplace.

Global publishing and learning specialist Emerald has formed an industry-first partnership with the UK’s most accessible job board, Evenbreak, which will see Emerald become the first in publishing to champion disability inclusion and diversity through the Evenbreak portal run by, and for, disabled people.

The partnership will see Emerald advertise all its available roles across both Emerald Publishing and Emerald Works on Evenbreak to attract talented disabled people for its diverse range of positions. This commitment is the latest in a series of diversity and inclusion programmes by Emerald, including holding and progressing its Disability Confident status.

Commenting on the partnership, Richard St George-Yorke, Recruitment Partner at Emerald, said: “Inclusion is integral to Emerald’s core values and we’re proud of our culture of celebrating diversity. When it comes to recruitment, we’re keen to find the very best talent, and this includes being as inclusive as possible to attract more diverse candidates and ultimately more skills. Partnering with Evenbreak enables us to ensure disabled candidates can access these roles, and we, in turn, can access this great talent pool.”

Jane Hatton, Founder and Director at Evenbreak, said, “We are thrilled to have Emerald on board. They have some fascinating roles which will be very attractive to some of our candidates, and we are delighted to be partnering with them.”
