Commonwealth Financial Network, a national firm dedicated to providing advisor-focused business solutions, has appointed Scarlett Abraham Clarke as its first Vice President, Chief Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) officer.
Abraham Clarke brings over 10 years of experience to lead the firm’s D&I efforts and create an environment where everyone is valued and given the freedom to thrive.
Commonwealth is committed to D&I, and the new addition will only take that further, says Commonwealth CEO Wayne Bloom: “We are thrilled to have Scarlett join Commonwealth and are fortunate to gain her experience in diversity, equity, and inclusion and human resources,”
“Scarlett’s track record of creating D&I programmes and ensuring that everyone has a sense of belonging is something that Commonwealth and the communities we serve will benefit from.”
Abraham Clarke will be responsible for D&I initiatives across Commonwealth as well as for influencing and managing change in support of Commonwealth’s talent strategy.
“I’m excited and proud to be working for Commonwealth, a company that puts an emphasis on people, including diversity and inclusion,” said Abraham Clarke.
“Commonwealth’s mission for doing business the right way, as well as for serving the communities in which we live, work, and visit, align with my professional and personal values. I look forward to enhancing the already wonderful culture.”
Abraham Clarke will report to Jane Moyer, Senior vice president, Chief Human Resources Officer, who joined the firm earlier this year.
“Scarlett has the background, skills, and capabilities to support our journey of inclusion and belonging and brings tremendous strength to the role,” said Moyer
“I want to welcome her to Commonwealth and the team, and I look forward to partnering with her on our D&I efforts going forward!”
