AIB Group were the biggest winners at the Women in Finance Ireland Awards 2019, securing the Outstanding Achievement and Woman of the Year prizes.
The event was held on Thursday 28 November at Dublin’s Clontarf Castle, hosting an impressive 360 attendees.
Broadcaster Kathriona Devereux hosted the ceremony. She presents an Irish television show, ‘10 Things to Know About…’ on RTE.
Following on from Kathriona Devereux’s introduction, the keynote was delivered by Catherine Duffy, senior vice president and general manager at the Northern Trust, Limerick. She won 2018’s Woman of the Year award at the Women in Finance Awards.
Other winners include Laura Humphreys of Davy, who nabbed the One to Watch gong and ABSTRACT, who won the Diversity Initiative of the Year with their Accelerate programme.
Suzie Nolan, Fund Manager of the Year winner, said on Twitter: “Wow! I am absolutely honoured to have taken home the Fund Manager of the Year Award at the Women in Finance Awards last night. The calibre of the women shortlisted in all categories was phenomenal. For once, I am lost for words.”
