As part of Information Age’s Women in IT Awards Series, we are today announcing that nominations are open for the Women in IT Awards London 2020.
The awards programme, organised in partnership with Amazon Web Services, is the world’s largest event dedicated to tackling the technology industry’s disheartening gender imbalance. It does this by showcasing the achievements and innovations of women in technology, identifying new role models and promoting further dialogue around diversity among industry influencers.
Since the Women in IT Awards’ inception in 2015, we have announced events in Silicon Valley, New York, Asia and Ireland on top of our flagship awards in London. We run two further diversity events in the UK: Tomorrow’s Tech Leaders, a careers fair for female university students, and Future Stars of Tech, which identifies and promotes the industry’s top female career climbers.
“Last year we received over 800 nominations and were blown away by people’s passion and enthusiasm for this cause, this year expect even more,” said Michael Baxter, editor of Information Age. ” We can’t wait to discover all the amazing tech talent out there, and I encourage everyone to get nominating.”
Entry is free and you can nominate yourself or your colleagues/peers. The last day to submit your nominations is 27th September 2019.
An independent panel of judges will consider each nomination and vote on the winners for each category 2-4 weeks before the awards gala dinner.
