Recruiter Robert Walters Group has appointed Coral Bamgboye as its new Global Head of Equality, Diversity & Inclusion; she will report directly to the firm’s CEO, Robert Walters.

Coral Bamgboye joins Robert Walters Group

Bamgboye started her career with Robert Walters Group in 2007 under the Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) arm of the business before taking on the role of Senior Operations Director for the operational delivery and commercial management of accounts across EMEA and US regions.

During her time with Robert Walters Group, she has led and chaired the firm’s Global Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (ED&I) Council and has led numerous mentoring and coaching initiatives with a focus on supporting youths from less advantaged backgrounds to prepare for work.

The Group has appointed VERCIDA Consulting as the company’s global DEI strategic partner whilst Bamgboye is on maternity leave; they are experts in inclusion management and will support the Group in driving its DEI change agenda. The firm is led by Dan Robertson, who will act as the Group’s DEI strategic leader. He is recognised as a global expert in DEI and is the Chair of the Lord Mayor of London’s Power of Inclusion programme. During this period, Robertson and his team will take responsibility for the Group’s DEI strategy and action plan, including developing internal expertise through training and education and delivering diverse hiring practices and advisory services for clients.

Robert Walters Group has also recently published a whitepaper entitled ‘Diversity & Inclusion in the Workplace‘, which is the largest survey-led research into workplace DEI in the past two years.

Robert Walters, CEO of Robert Walters Group, said: “This is a key role to support our ongoing commitment to a working environment that promotes inclusion, dignity, and respect for all – not only for our own employees but for clients, candidates, and other stakeholders we work with.

“The appointment of Coral not only allows us to make strides with our internal practices, but her expertise will mean that we can continue our work on promoting diverse hiring in our clients’ organisations.”
